Portland is a great place to spend your weekends outdoors. You can spend Saturday at the Portland Saturday Market and then explore Forest Park’s many thousands of acres by foot or bicycle. Washington Park is the best spot to see Portland’s roots. There are many hiking opportunities.

You can try Oregon’s local beers at an independent brewery. Or, you can explore the food scene and pick up a famous vegan VooDoo doughnut. The Hotel Monaco and Jupiter Hotels are great places to stay in Portland.

2. New York, New York

NYC speaks for itself. It’s on almost everyone’s bucket lists (for good reasons), so why not spend a few days immersed in the Big Apple. It is impossible to see the entire city, no matter how many days you spend there. So make sure you visit a few sights but not all of them. The Brooklyn Heights Promenade offers the best views of the city and the Statue of Liberty can be viewed free of charge on the ferry from Staten Island.

Union Square hotels are popular because of their central location. However, a Queen Anne-style Airbnb is a more unique option!

5. Charleston, South Carolina

Charleston has been recently dubbed the “South’s Best City”. It is a charming combination of small-town living and city life with coastal relaxation. Enjoy delicious southern cuisine on the beach, or indulge in fine dining downtown.

King Street is the best place to shop and browse boutiques. Architecture gazing can also be done throughout the city, although I prefer Rainbow Row’s colorful houses. Charleston’s history and people will charm you, no matter what activities you choose to do. The Vendue, located in the French Quarter’s waterfront French Quarter, is a great place to stay.

6. Miami, Florida

Miami is the perfect place for singles, couples and friends to enjoy a fun weekend, regardless of their age or interests. There are no bad times to visit Miami, with temperatures ranging from 70@F to 80@F. You can escape the winter storms by swimming in the Venetian Pool or spending a day on South Beach.

Ocean Drive is Miami’s most famous art deco scene. Take a guided tour, or just stroll along at your own pace. This city is a great place to spend a weekend, especially if you need to tan.

You don’t have to spend a lot of money on weekend getaways. San Diego is one of the Top 10 Happiest Cities to Live in America. It wouldn’t hurt to spend some time there. This city is all about surf, sand and continuous sunshine. It also has some of the best Mexican food that you have ever tasted.

Hike Torrey Pines to say hello to the seals of La Jolla. But don’t forget to visit the incredible farmers markets! San Diego has some of the most beautiful sunsets, so begin your evenings by relaxing on the beaches.

It’s possible to stay in almost any area of San Diego. Hotel Pendry is located in the Gaslamp District, and it is close to the best nightlife.

You can also eat your weight with TexMex and BBQ, and then relax in the natural waters of the Barton Springs Pool. Your Instagram will be filled with amazing sights and exciting adventures by the end of this weekend.

Enjoy Austin’s “weirdness”, and make a home at the hipster-esque Archer Hotel, or the eco-friendly Heywood Hotel.

9. New Orleans, Louisiana

New Orleans is more than Bourbon Street and booze. You can find live jazz at Preservation Hall every night of week. Also, you can see artists painting in Jackson Square.
